Oklahoma County awards multiple materials and supplies bid line-items

County staff presented the CW26025-02 materials and supplies recommendation after 24 bids were received and evaluated. The recommendation named the lowest vendor for each line item: Oklahoma Cement Solutions for cement slurry; DeLisi Brothers for concrete material; Deb Ross in Cord, Maine for pipe; Patriot Steel for reinforcing steel; Vance Brothers for microsurfacing; Tri City Seal for seal coating; Advanced Brothers recommended for oils based on plant proximity; and category awards to all bidders for native materials and aggregates. Staff noted concrete paving would not be awarded now and would be bid per project.

A commissioner moved to approve the recommendation, a second was recorded, and the board voted in favor. Staff emphasized individual county departments will select the lowest-and-best vendor per purchase based on availability, price and transportation cost.
