During its Dec. 10 meeting the Aberdeen City Council approved a series of contracts, procurement awards and administrative plans.
Public-safety and mutual-aid agreements: Council authorized the mayor to sign the 2025 agreement for emergency medical services between the City of Aberdeen and Brace Harbor Fire District (motion approved). It also approved Amendment No. 3 to the forestland response agreement between the Aberdeen Fire Department and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
Procurement awards: Council awarded an electrical equipment bid to Advanced Electric Technology (Aberdeen) for a project at Periket/Hampstead and awarded a pump-equipment contract to Tab School LLC (Redmond) to repair and relocate a pump station to Second Street. Council also authorized the public-works director to execute Task Order No. 2 with Quality Controls Corporation.
Accessibility plan: Council adopted an Americans with Disabilities Act self-evaluation and transition plan by resolution.
Interlocal action: A proposed interlocal agreement with the city of Cosmopolis for law-enforcement services was withdrawn at the request of the mover.
