COG authorizes submittal of transit facility plans ahead of new codes

Staff asked the Council to direct submission of the transit facility construction plans to the county building department before Jan. 1 to avoid new state building codes and potential permit‑cost increases that take effect on January 1. Executive Director Roger said the plans were large and that Christina from Aspen Street was available to answer technical questions. Roger recommended submittal now so permit reviews occur under the existing code and fee schedule.

There were no substantive questions from board members and the council moved and approved the direction to submit the plans. The board recorded the motion and the item passed on a voice vote (7–0).
