Kenston celebrates successful fall seasons and launches dedicated athletics website and app

Kenston’s athletics director presented a summary of the district’s fall sports results at the Dec. 15 Kenston Local Schools Board of Education meeting, highlighting conference and regional championships, individual awards and academic honors.

The director said middle‑school volleyball and cross country teams won WRC championships and noted a number of high‑school successes: the boys cross‑country team qualified for state and finished 14th, football finished 7‑5 and made the state playoffs for the eighth straight year, and multiple coaches and student athletes earned conference coach/player of the year honors. The director reported 124 WRC scholar athletes across fall sports and 41 all‑conference selections.

Officials also announced a new athletics website and a dedicated mobile app developed with Mascot Media. The app, titled Kenston Balmers Athletics, will include rosters, schedules and staff bios and is being added to over time.

Board members praised coaches and student athletes for performance and academic achievement. No formal action was taken; the athletic office will continue to develop the app and site content for release to the school community.
