Board advances tabletop preparedness report, aims to file with HMCC before Jan. review

Unidentified Speaker 2 reported progress on the tabletop exercise report covering objectives, capabilities, mass care, community preparedness and emergency public information. The draft report uses a template and will include strengths, weaknesses and recommended action items.

To collaborate, Unidentified Speaker 2 created a shared Google Drive and asked board members to edit their assigned sections so the final product can be submitted to HMCC. Members agreed to aim for completion in late December and to have the report ready so HMCC can act on it before the Jan. 20 review period.

Unidentified Speaker 2 said mass care and medical surge were important capabilities to highlight and flagged reverse 911 and emergency public information as priorities. Members also discussed participant lists and asked staff to collate notes from multiple note-takers (including Morgan, Melody and AI-generated notes) for the final action plan.

Action items: board members to add notes to the shared drive within five days; Unidentified Speaker 2 to compile the action plan and submit to HMCC when finalized.
