Titus County approves minutes, plats, budget amendment and payments during special meeting

At a special meeting, the Titus County Commissioners Court approved multiple routine items including minutes, plats, budget amendments and payment orders.

The court approved the minutes from the Dec. 8, 2025 regular meeting after a motion by Commissioner Mitchell and a second by Commissioner Parker. It also unanimously approved plats presented for Equal Cash Offer, LLC (splitting a parcel into two lots on County Road 3355 in Precinct 3), the Peninsulas at Lake Bob Sandlin (Lots 56 and 57), and a 10-acre parcel owned by Angel Guzman with a 3-acre sale and private-drive access from County Road 1734. Motions to approve those plats were made and seconded by the commissioners on the floor.

Finance staff presented a budget amendment (2026-03) that included a transfer from pretrial funds to increase a January salary in the county attorney's office by $16.29 and a line-item transfer in SB22 funds to move remaining funds to a court coordinator line item to train a new investigator/trainee position. Commissioners moved and seconded to approve the amendment.

The court accepted the treasurer’s report as a matter of record and voted to sign pay orders to approve payments after a motion by Commissioner Parker and second by Commissioner Applewhite.

All routine items on the agenda were approved or recorded as presented. The court adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
