Board approves $419,984 grant amendment for North Kootenai Water and Sewer District

The Kootenai County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 23 approved grant amendment 23NE00283022 with the Idaho Office of Emergency Management, increasing or confirming the award in the amount of $419,984.63 for North Kootenai Water and Sewer District.

Andrea Littlefield explained that the amendment does not change the award amount but extends the performance period from Jan. 4, 2026 to March 4, 2026 and that the amended agreement includes a cash and in-kind match from North Kootenai Water and Sewer District totaling $41,998.46. "The amendment changes the performance period from 07/25/2023 through 01/04/2026 to 07/25/2023 through 03/04/2026," she said.

The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment by voice vote. County staff said the grant award terms otherwise remain the same.
