Pontiac officials, organizers welcome families to Harvest Fest at City Hall

Councilwoman Melanie Rutherford greeted attendees and promoted a family-focused event at Pontiac City Hall, calling it the third annual Oktoberfest-style gathering and inviting residents to participate. "This is the third annual event," Rutherford said as she welcomed families and noted she represents District 1.

An unidentified speaker who followed thanked the community for coming to what they termed "Harvest Fest" and credited the youth recreation team, specifically naming Tanisha Stevens, for organizing the day. "Thank you so much to the Pontiac community for coming out for Harvest Fest this year," the speaker said, adding that the day featured family-friendly activities on the city hall grounds.

The unidentified speaker emphasized accessibility and safety, saying, "When families come together in a safe, free, accessible way, it's just a beautiful part of the Pontiac community." The remarks framed the event as locally organized, free to attend and aimed at youth and families.
