Commission notes advisory report and Common Council resolution on short-term rental rules; no policy action taken

At its Dec. 18 meeting the City of Green Bay Human Rights Commission heard an informational update that an advisory report on short-term rental regulations — originally discussed when the report passed on Nov. 1, 2025 — has the support of the Common Council via a resolution passed this week.

Chair Jerry Yang told the commission: "Update on the advisory report on short term rental regulations in the city of Green Bay that was discussed at the time of passing it in 11/01/2025." He added that "that resolution, was passed by common council, on Tuesday." The presentation was delivered as an informational briefing; the commission did not take formal policy action on short-term rental rules at this meeting.

Procedural business at the meeting included several agenda motions and voice votes: the commission approved an amendment removing agenda item 4, reclassified agenda item 5 as an informational update, approved the agenda as amended and approved the minutes for the previous meeting. A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
