Votes at a glance: Mount Vernon board approves minutes, policies, personnel and business items

At its Nov. 24 meeting, the Mount Vernon City School Board recorded a series of routine approvals by roll call, including minutes, policies, recommended fiscal and business services items and personnel actions.

What passed: trustees approved the October regular meeting minutes; approved second reading of board policies presented that evening; authorized fiscal services recommendations (including appreciation for community donations); approved business services items — among them the OFCC participation resolution — and accepted certificated and classified personnel recommendations including hires, substitute listings and a retirement notice (Bill Farrell).
