Votes at a glance: Millersville Council approves minutes, financial report and two personnel promotions

Millersville Borough Council members approved a series of routine actions at their Nov. 25 meeting, including minutes and personnel moves.

The council first moved to approve the Nov. 11, 2025 meeting minutes; the motion carried and the clerk recorded one named abstention from Phyllis. The council then voted to accept the October financial report and authorized staff to satisfy ordinary and routine borough obligations for the month.

On personnel, the council approved promoting Neil Tome to the maintenance worker 2 position, effective Jan. 5, 2026, and approved hiring Emma Denay as administrative specialist with a start date of Dec. 1, 2025; resumes and cover letters for both were placed with the meeting materials. With Tome’s promotion, council approved advertising for a maintenance worker 1 opening to ensure staffing for winter snow removal.

All listed motions were advanced by floor motions and voice votes and were announced as carried. The clerk or presiding officer noted there was no need for an executive session and the meeting was adjourned.
