Rutland emergency committee elects Peter as chair, confirms vice chair and representatives

Members of the Rutland Emergency Management Committee conducted annual officer appointments and confirmed several regional representative roles.

Peter was nominated and elected chair by voice vote after a second; committee members thanked him for taking the role. Jan agreed to continue as vice chair and was confirmed by voice vote. Bob Morlino was reappointed as the committee’s LEPC representative, and Peter accepted the Thyra SPR representative role as well; members briefly discussed whether one person may serve in multiple representative positions and noted Bill Jones is preparing guidance on rules and a learning‑management presentation.

Judy accepted appointment as the integrated planning and preparedness workshop representative after a motion and voice vote. The meeting record shows motions were made and seconded for the agenda and minutes earlier in the meeting, and the committee adjourned later in the session.
