Tangipahoa Parish Council adopts 120‑day moratorium on certain treatment and shelter applications

The Tangipahoa Parish Council voted Dec. 22 to adopt TP Ordinance 25-43, a temporary 120‑day moratorium on the acceptance, processing and approval of any applications under Article 9 of Chapter 26 of the Tangipahoa Parish Code relating to halfway houses, addiction‑disorder treatment facilities, juvenile detention facilities, live‑in mental‑health facilities, sober‑living homes and homeless shelters.
