Tangipahoa Parish Council adopts FY2025 operating and capital outlay budgets

The Tangipahoa Parish Council on Dec. 22 approved TP Ordinance 25-44, an ordinance amending TP Ordinance 25-56 to adopt the operating and capital outlay budgets for the Tangipahoa Parish Council government for fiscal year 2025.

Councilman Havis moved for adoption and Mister Joseph seconded. The clerk conducted a roll‑call vote; the members recorded affirmative votes and the chair announced the ordinance approved. The chair also announced several additional ordinances introduced that will be set for a public hearing on Jan. 12 at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting record shows no extended floor debate on the budget ordinance during the session; no members recorded a dissenting vote in the roll call taken at the meeting. The ordinance text presented to the council was introduced for adoption on the record; further hearings or budget-specific amendments were not taken during the Dec. 22 session.
