Applicant to re-upload corrected Wild Oaks Lot 7 replat after DRC comments on easements and utilities

City staff and the applicant discussed the Wild Oaks Lot 7 replat at the Dec. 17 Development Review Committee meeting. Jean Sanchez (project manager, sitting in) introduced the item and the applicant’s representative, who said the wrong version of the plat had been uploaded and that a corrected, surveyor‑finalized digital file would be submitted to OpenGov.

Public Works requested that utility easements be provided outside the public right-of-way, citing multiple utility breaks in streets this year that were caused by contractors boring under the road. Public Works said moving communications and similar utilities into designated easements outside the right-of-way would help prevent repeated damage to permanent utilities; the applicant agreed to review the comment and coordinate with Public Works and the surveyor.

Next steps: the applicant will finalize the correct plat with the surveyor and reupload it to OpenGov for staff review and resolution of outstanding comments; departmental reviewers otherwise had routine or no comments at present.
