Onage North rezoning goes to council for first reading; Acres PD agreement continued to Jan. 7

The Development Review Committee noted two pending planning items on Dec. 17: the Onage North planned‑development rezoning is scheduled for first reading at city council that night, while the associated major development plan will be returned at a later date for further review. Staff said they had provided comments and would see the applicant at the council meeting.

Separately, staff reviewed the first submittal of the Acres PD agreement. Legal counsel and the applicant have been negotiating the agreement; staff reported that the planning commission had recommended the rezoning 5–1 at a recent meeting and the applicant asked to continue the council hearing to Jan. 7 to allow additional time to finalize the development agreement.

Next steps: Onage North will appear on the council first‑reading agenda as planned; the Acres PD rezoning and development agreement will be continued to Jan. 7 per the applicant’s request for additional time to work with legal staff.
