RILEY COUNTY — During routine business Dec. 18 the Riley County Commission approved several administrative items: a contract for a judicial services needs assessment, a certificate of substantial completion for a window‑replacement job and two final plats required to conform to the sanitary code.
A commissioner moved to approve an agreement with BBN Architects to perform a judicial services needs assessment; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Separately, the board approved a certificate of substantial completion with Baker McMillan Architects and BHS Construction and accepted change order No. 1 for the CPE window replacement project.
On land‑use matters, county planning staff presented Blue River Hills Unit 8, a final plat that combined Lots 19 and 20 and adjusted lot 27 to satisfy sanitary‑code requirements and vacate an easement under a garage. Commissioners moved and approved a resolution accepting the final plat and dedicating required rights‑of‑way and easements.
Staff also presented a replat for Mill Cove Park Unit 3 to adjust lot lines so existing homes and septic systems meet county sanitary standards; planning board approval and staff recommendations accompanied the presentation and the commission approved the final plat and easement dedications.
All motions were approved by voice vote; no individual roll‑call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
