The Quincy Planning Board opened on Dec. 17, approved minutes from its Nov. 19 meeting and accepted the board’s proposed 2026 meeting calendar, which shifts regular meetings to the second Wednesday of each month and moves one November meeting to Nov. 18 to accommodate a veterans' holiday.
Planning staff presented the calendar, noting summer scheduling adjustments (one meeting late July) to avoid gaps that would affect application timeliness. After discussion the board voted to accept the calendar.
The board also handled several procedural items. Staff reported receipt of a Dec. 17 continuance request from Attorney Rob Fleming on behalf of Quincy 4 6 South LLC for its 4 South Street site-plan hearing; the applicant waived the 65-day notice requirement and the board continued the item to the Jan. 14, 2026 meeting. The board approved a continuance for 166 Independence Ave. (case 2020-516) to Feb. 11, 2026, and continued 46 Bates Ave. (case 2020-518) to Jan. 14, 2026 to allow time for outstanding items including stormwater review and additional design clarifications.
Staff also noted receipt of a withdrawal letter for the previously continued 42 Beale Street multifamily project; the withdrawal will be listed on the January agenda for formal acceptance.
The meeting adjourned following the regular business items.
