Ada County approves Resolution 31 54 to allocate local assistance funds for Expo equipment and victim services remodel

Ada County commissioners opened and closed a public hearing on Resolution 31 54 and voted to approve the resolution as listed on the agenda.

County staff explained the resolution would allocate available local assistance funds to purchase additional snow equipment for Expo Idaho and to support remodeling of the county's victim services center. Staff clarified the county is identifying funding uses now and that the exact federal allocation amount will be known when funds are received.

The board asked clarifying questions about eligible uses and federal status of the funds; staff confirmed these are federal local assistance funds and that allocations would be used for public services consistent with the award. Following discussion, a motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and passed by unanimous voice vote.
