Vernon Council Endorses and Swears In Jeremy Geller to Fill Vacant Seat

The Vernon Town Council voted unanimously to endorse Jeremy Geller to fill the Town Council seat vacated by Ariana (name spelling varies in the record) and administered his oath of office.

A proposed motion read, in part, that “the Town of Vernon Town Council hereby endorses the nomination of Jeremy Geller to replace and complete the term vacated by Ariana Needs. Mr. Geller’s term will commence on 12/16/2025 and end 11/07/2027.” The motion was seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote.

After the vote, Geller was sworn in. In the oath he repeated, “I, Jeremy Geller, solemnly swear (or solemnly and sincerely affirm) that I will faithfully discharge my duties as town council member of the Town of Vernon to the best of my abilities. Effective Tuesday, 12/16/2025.” The oath concluded with the recitation “So help me God” and the statutory reference to perjury.
