Panel adopts revised workgroup charter, schedules January hearings and public review

The panel adopted a revised workgroup charter during the Dec. 12 session after staff incorporated edits to meeting scheduling and public comment procedures.

Erica (staff) reviewed edits including added meeting notices, a public workshop following release of a draft report, and clarifying language about drafting procedures and the role of staff in compiling comments. Panel members discussed final meeting dates (January series and a potential March meeting to review public comments) and asked staff to make the final meeting month flexible to accommodate public comment compilation.

Chair Daniel Geisler called for a motion to adopt the charter as modified. Richard Smith moved to adopt and Hannah Waterhouse seconded; a roll-call vote of present panelists recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed.

The panel confirmed upcoming working group dates (including Jan. 7 and Jan. 14) and asked staff to circulate finalized notices. Staff also committed to posting the presenters' nursery slides and to circulate corrected data-visualization updates based on public feedback.
