Commissioners thank Thomas Mulder for service

Commissioners took a few minutes near the end of the meeting to acknowledge Commissioner Thomas Mulder’s service to the Humboldt County Planning Commission. Speakers praised Mulder’s preparation, longstanding public involvement and contributions to deliberations on both individual projects and broader policy.

One commissioner recounted knowing Mulder before his appointment and thanked him for his service; the chair said the board of supervisors also recognized Mulder at a previous meeting. The remarks were brief and wholly in recognition of Mulder’s time on the commission.

There was no formal action associated with the recognition; the chair then adjourned the meeting.
