Council approves consent items, licenses and traffic‑code changes; supports urban forestry grant

The Superior Common Council voted on a slate of consent and routine items on Sept. 21, approving meeting minutes, committee reappointments, licenses and traffic‑code changes.

Key actions included approval of the meeting minutes (Item 3.1), a Public Works resolution to blacktop five alleys in 2022 and multiple committee reappointments (including Thomas E. Johnson to the Civil Service Commission and Elizabeth Norin to Parks & Recreation). The council also approved an original Class B alcohol license for "Up North to Caro Superior LLC" doing business as Tappan Tower at 1106 Tower Avenue for an October 1 start through June 30, 2022.

The council approved a resolution in support of a Wisconsin DNR Urban Forestry Grant and adopted traffic‑code ordinances adjusting stop‑sign schedules and calendar‑parking exclusions, as recommended by the Public Works Committee.
