Board accepts monthly finance report; audit release expected in January or February

The Dickson County School Board voted to accept the district’s monthly financial reports during its Dec. 18 meeting.

The finance presenter (Speaker 10) summarized the monthly statements, saying revenues and expenditures are up for the period, property tax receipts are slightly down and sales tax receipts are up. The presenter identified specific funds (141, 142, 143 and 177) in the packet and summarized balance sheets.

Board Member (Speaker 12) asked when the previous fiscal-year audit would be publicly released; the finance presenter replied that the audit is expected in January or February, with a hope for January. The presenter said the school activity fund audits were being completed but had not been fully submitted at the time of the meeting.

Following a motion and second to approve, the board adopted the monthly financial reports; the meeting record shows the motion passed by voice vote ('All ayes').
