The Corinth City Council approved an amendment to the Unified Development Code tied to PD-26 that allows a maximum flagpole height of 100 feet on approximately 8.3 acres adjacent to Interstate 35.
Melissa Daley, Planning Director, told the council the property has a C-2 base zoning and is home to ongoing improvements and businesses. She said the applicant requested two flagpoles along I-35 and that the city had received no letters of support or opposition as of the meeting date. Daley added the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval by a 5–0 vote at its November meeting.
A council member moved to approve ordinance 25-12-04-57 as presented; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
The transcript records no public opposition during the hearing; the manufacturer of the poles was present and offered to answer technical questions but no substantive concerns were raised on the record.
