Council approves first reading of FY 2025–26 budget amendment including ILA funding and capital rollovers

The Fair Oaks Ranch City Council approved on first reading an ordinance amending the fiscal year 2025–26 budget to reflect prior commitments, capital rollovers and recent council actions.

Director of Finance Summer Fleming said the amendment reappropriates outstanding encumbrances totaling $132,890 in the general fund and $124,422 in the utility fund; rolls forward roughly $327,000 in the strategic and capital projects fund and $2,660,000 in the wastewater capital fund; and incorporates council-approved items such as the ILA with Bexar County for Old Fredericksburg Road. Fleming said the ordinance appropriates the city's $205,882 cost share from available fund balance and recognizes a $10,000 donation from the Fair Oaks Ranch Homeowners Association to support the oak wilt program.

Council moved and approved the first reading by voice vote; staff noted exhibit A to the ordinance contains detailed adjustments. No amendments were made during the meeting; the measure advances to second reading and final adoption in accordance with council procedure.
