Fairfax council approves $5,831 change order for 2020 residential street paving project

The Village of Fairfax council on June 21 adopted Ordinance 21-2021 authorizing a change order of $5,831 for the 2020 Residential Street paving project to cover additional asphalt used on Spring Street.

Village Administrator introduced the measure, said the contractor JK Mirror remains responsible for completing a punch list on Spring, Elmore and High streets, and stated final payment — including the approved change order — will not be released until those items are finished. The ordinance was moved, the council suspended three readings and, after roll-call, the ordinance was adopted.

Council did not attach additional funding beyond the stated change order amount in the meeting discussion.
