Kenilworth honors longtime library employee with proclamation

The Kenilworth Borough Council honored a longtime member of the Kenilworth Public Library staff with a proclamation praising roughly three decades of service to children and families.

The mayor read the proclamation recognizing Robin (the record contains both "Robin Turner" and later the proclamation text reads "Robin Kerner") for starting at the library on Sept. 18, 1995 and for creating and leading programs such as toddler time, PJ story time, summer reading, author visits, STEM activities and special events. The proclamation credited the honoree with receiving Union County Library Consortium employee-of-the-year awards in 2006 and 2018 and proclaimed Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, as a day in her honor.

Council members praised her long service and the variety of programs she led. Council liaison remarks highlighted the role the honoree played in developing library programming for all ages and noted a staff member, Britney Digirallamo, has been hired to fill the position.

What happens next: The proclamation is part of the official meeting record and will be included in the council minutes; no further action was required.
