Caroline County announces new broadband service areas; residents given ordering contact

David Sadler gave a mid-meeting broadband update Dec. 1 announcing that new service areas have opened for sale and providing ordering instructions for residents. “The first area that has been released is GCR 01,” Sadler said, and described multiple newly available zones.

The update listed GCR 01 and GCV 13 among the areas now open. Sadler described GCR 01’s boundaries as spanning Route 721 (Sparta Road) west of Central Point to Route 625 north of Central Point, south to the county line, including Sparta Road from Central Point to the county line and areas between the King William and King and Queen county lines. He described GCV 13 (also referenced in the update as DCV 13) as an area beginning just south of Moores Mill Road on Route 301 at Richmond Turnpike, extending down to Doggett’s Fork Road, following Doggett’s Fork Road west to Reedy Mill Road, and then north on Reedy Mill Road for about 1.5 miles; he said Elsinore Subdivision is inside that area.

Sadler provided a phone contact for residents ready to sign up. “If you live in any of the areas that’s shaded green on this map, you can call Reggie Spivey at (410) 490-6082,” he said; the transcript identifies Reggie Spivey as a contact for Breezeline sales. Sadler repeated the phone number and encouraged residents in highlighted areas to place an order.

He also listed a sequence of additional GCR-area codes as open for sale in the update and said more areas may be announced before the next scheduled update. The next broadband update is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m., Sadler said, and any new releases will be announced during a mid-meeting update on the county’s YouTube channel and posted to the county website.

The update concluded with a request to subscribe to the county’s YouTube channel for future notices and a sign-off.
