Committee approves six mayoral and council appointments to city boards and commissions

The Committee on Council considered communications items 1–6 together and voted unanimously to approve six appointments submitted by the mayor and council members.

Staff (Mr. Overton) summarized the six communications: Jeff Mulavey to the BeltLine Tax Allocation District Advisory Committee for a two‑year term; Benita Terry to the Atlanta Housing Authority Board of Commissioners for a five‑year term; Matthew Cartlidge to the Atlanta Urban Design Commission in the landscape architect category for a three‑year term; Chrissy Jones to the Anthony Tickman Jones Legacy Commission; Darren Givens to the City of Atlanta Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee; and Tamara Jones to the Atlanta Urban Design Commission in an architect category for a three‑year term.

Chair Isha Collins moved to approve the block; Vice Chair Bhatiari seconded. The committee voted 6–0 to recommend all six appointments as favorable.

Next steps: the favorable recommendations will be forwarded to the full council for confirmation.
