At the Nov. 25 meeting the trustees approved scheduling three public hearings to consider proposed amendments to the township zoning code. The hearings address: amendments to Section 5.10.07 (driveways), amendments to Section 3.11.02(b) and Appendix E to align listed uses, and a related code alignment item. Trustees approved scheduling the hearings for Dec. 10, with an initial session suggested for 7:30 a.m. and an additional hearing at 7:40 a.m.
Zoning and economic development staff reported year-to-date permit fees (~$77,009.42) and listed recent and incoming businesses including Badger Restoration and Roofing LLC, Titan Electrical Services LLC, Plato's Closet (Cascades) and a to‑go Buffalo Wild Wings in the former GameStop location. Staff said the hearings must be held before Dec. 13 and requested the board’s approval to set the dates and times.
Trustees moved and seconded the scheduling motions; the board recorded affirming votes and the motions passed. The hearings will give residents an opportunity to comment on the specific ordinance amendments before any final action is taken.
