Perryton ISD board approves temporary cost-exception for window-film attachments

Unidentified Speaker 1, a Perryton ISD staff member, presented a resolution asking the board to allow a cost exception for attachments around specific windows so the protective film applied there cannot be broken.

The board considered the measure as a temporary step because those same windows are planned for replacement during the district's upcoming construction work. "This is mainly because there is some of our windows that need to have an attachment, set around them so that the film that's placed on them, that they can't be broken in," Unidentified Speaker 1 said, describing why the district seeks a short-term exception rather than a permanent installation now.

The measure was moved and seconded and put to a vote; the board approved the resolution without objection. The presiding trustee announced, "Motion carries 6 0." The resolution authorizes the district to proceed with the temporary cost-exception as presented; the motion recorded no abstentions.
