Planning & Zoning approves one‑year conditional use permit for Lucky Dogs Pub with conditions

Mentor-on-the-Lake — At its Dec. 1 meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend issuance of a one‑year conditional use permit for Lucky Dogs Pub at 7855 Lakeshore Boulevard. The recommendation was reported to council on Dec. 4.

The permit, as described in the commission report, would allow Lucky Dogs Pub to serve alcohol with hours of operation up to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and until midnight on Sundays. The commission attached a condition that rear screening vegetation be replaced and asked that affected residents be notified proactively of the work plan and the rationale for the orientation of the decorative side of the fence in a related McMinn fence project.
