Leon Wilcox said the district has roughly $5 million available for small capital projects and listed proposals that total about $3.8 million as presented: Jordan High infield turf and improvements (batting cages, warning track, irrigation), a proposed lighting project for Jordan's baseball/softball that could cost about $725,000, parking lot LED retrofits, gym bleacher/locker‑room work and potential turf replacement priorities across high schools. Wilcox also described HVAC control upgrades for several elementary schools, boiler replacement at Canyon View (estimated about $700,000), playground resurfacing, irrigation repairs, and a set of safety lock upgrades required by state safety rules.

Trustees raised equity questions about focusing on high‑school athletics versus elementary needs; members asked staff to seek FieldTurf pricing, consider financing options, and return with more detailed cost scenarios and prioritization criteria.
