Green Bay Landmarks Commission approves two garage COAs in Astor neighborhood

The Green Bay Landmarks Commission on Dec. 17 approved design reviews for two residential garage projects in the city's Astor neighborhood.

Jason, the staff presenter, described COA 25-43 for 620 Law Street as an attached garage on the opposite side of a Dutch Colonial Revival house. Jason said the property retains its historic small attached garage and that the new garage would match the home's front gambrel form. "You see it's also Dutch Colonial Revival with the front gambrel design," he said, and recommended approval.

Commissioners asked whether the new structure was detached or attached; staff confirmed the proposal is for an attached garage. A motion to approve COA 25-43 was made and seconded, and the commission voted in favor; no individual votes were recorded in the transcript.

The commission then considered COA 25-44 for 643 South Jefferson, a corner lot where staff presented plans for a detached two-car garage and new driveway on the southeast side of the house.
