Scott County Fiscal Court repeals temporary RV-campground moratorium

The Scott County Fiscal Court on a voice vote approved Resolution 25-18, repealing a temporary moratorium that had paused acceptance and review of applications for RV campgrounds by the Georgetown/Scott County Planning Commission.

Cam, who read the resolution aloud, told the court the fiscal court had adopted Ordinance 25-03 to amend zoning related to RV campgrounds and determined the conditions that required the moratorium in Resolution 25-11 had been addressed. The resolution declares the moratorium null and void and restores normal regulatory processes and permit reviews effective on passage.

No substantive questions were recorded during the discussion before a motion to approve was made and seconded. The court approved the resolution by voice vote.

The repeal means the planning commission may resume accepting and reviewing applications under the county zoning rules currently in effect.
