A resident identifying their address as 159 Bedroom Drive told the Borough of Northvale council that events at a private field house at 140 Grand Avenue have caused persistent late‑night noise, heavy traffic and safety issues since April.
The resident described groups lingering in the parking lot past 1:00 a.m., loud music, very bright lights, litter and unsafe driving. “Almost every single day is very disruptive,” the resident said, reporting that they and several neighbors have called police and contacted the owner. The resident added that the owner had temporarily closed an entrance and attempted mitigation but that problems continued.
Another speaker during public comment corroborated a large volume of cars and bright lights late at night and told council the situation “could become a problem.”
Council members and staff asked clarifying questions about hours, parking and enforcement options and suggested the resident follow up with zoning and police to document incidents. Staff said they would coordinate with counsel about enforcement steps and vendor or business compliance as needed.
The council did not take formal action at the meeting but directed staff to pursue appropriate next steps and advised the resident to provide documented incidents and photos so the borough can investigate code or permit violations.
