County renews pathology agreement with Ada County at commissioners' request

County staff presented a renewal of a pathology agreement with Ada County on behalf of Coroner Scott Carver and the Valley County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the renewal.

The presenter said the agreement enables Ada County to perform forensic analyses or investigative work when requested by the Valley County coroner. "On behalf of the coroner Carver, I will be presenting this," staff said, noting the contract routing form had been signed by the prosecuting attorney's office and that Ada County asked for the document by the meeting date. A commissioner moved to approve the pathology agreement and the board voted in favor.

Staff characterized the item as a standard renewal with no increase in cost and stressed it was added to the agenda because Ada County required the signed document promptly. Commissioners approved the agreement to maintain continuity of forensic investigation services for the county.
