Reno County commissioners unanimously approved an updated employment contract for the county administrator, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Staff asked the commission to consider an updated contract; the board briefly entered executive session to discuss personnel matters and later reconvened in public, stating that no action had been taken in the closed session. Following the session, a commissioner moved to accept the updated contract as presented by staff; the motion was seconded and approved on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Commissioners offered public appreciation for the administrator's work in the meeting discussion. The approved contract was described as an updated version of the administrator's employment agreement; staff indicated the effective date would be 2026-01-01.
No further action was reported in the executive session on related personnel items and the meeting proceeded to a short additional executive session on the county counselor position before adjourning.
