La Plata council adopts FY26 fee‑schedule amendments (Ordinance 25‑09)

La Plata — The La Plata Town Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 25‑09 on Dec. 9, an amendment to the town’s Fiscal Year 2026 fee schedule.

The ordinance was presented in second reading by staff and moved, seconded and adopted by roll call. Council recorded aye votes from Councilmen Guttenberg, McCormick, Sampson, Councilman Johnson and Mayor James. Stevens introduced the ordinance as a technical amendment to the FY26 fee schedule and there was no extended discussion before the vote.

In the same session the council also confirmed two Historic Preservation Commission appointments (Jane Hobbs as a voting member and Kathy Hancher as an alternate) by roll call vote.

What’s next: The amended fee schedule takes effect per the ordinance language; staff will publish the updated fee table and apply it to permitting and administrative processes as specified in the ordinance.
