Keene council approves minutes, confirms a Heritage Commission appointment, adopts goals and carries easement and committee recommendations

The Keene City Council completed several procedural and governance items by roll‑call vote. Councilor Greenewald moved to adopt the minutes of the Nov. 20, 2025 meeting; the motion was seconded by Councilor Powers and carried unanimously on roll call. The council confirmed the mayor’s nomination of Maryland Houston to the Heritage Commission by roll‑call vote.

The council carried out committee reports from the Municipal Services, Facilities & Infrastructure Committee: it authorized the city manager to negotiate and record a permanent access easement across city land in Swansea to benefit Public Service Company of New Hampshire (Eversource) and accepted the petitioner’s withdrawal of a request to discontinue a sidewalk on Magnolia Way. Each action was carried by unanimous roll‑call vote.

Councilor Greenewald moved to adopt the city council goals for 2026–27 (a revised version reflecting council workshop input); the motion passed on unanimous roll call. The meeting concluded with a motion, carried unanimously, to enter nonpublic session to discuss legal and personnel matters pursuant to RSA 91‑A.
