Wilson board retains Fox Rothschild as solicitor, approves fee schedule

The Wilson School District Board of School Directors voted Dec. 2 to retain outside counsel John Marabich, Esquire, of Fox Rothschild LLP as the district solicitor for 2026 and to approve a fee schedule for legal services.

The motion to retain John Marabich and Fox Rothschild was moved by Mrs. Stephanie Cocker and seconded by Mrs. Casper; the motion passed on roll call 8–0. Separately, the board voted to set solicitor fees for regular services at $2,220 per professional hour and at $240 to $262 per professional hour for designated services, consistent with the attached letter of agreement referenced during the meeting.

President Denney thanked counsel for their service; a board member noted, “we are very fortunate to have Mr. Borowicz and Fox Rothschild representing us,” language recorded in the meeting transcript acknowledging outside counsel (transcript contains inconsistent spellings/names for counsel that were clarified in meeting discussion).

The retention and fee approval were recorded by roll call and are effective immediately for 2026 as the board organizes its contracts for the coming year. Both votes were unanimous (8–0).

The motion and fee schedule were recorded as part of the reorganization agenda and will be reflected in a signed agreement and the board’s contracted legal services for 2026.
