Council amends zoning map language and postpones final passage of ordinance amendment

The council considered an ordinance amendment to the zoning map (pursuant to section 27-5 of the city zoning ordinances) to change zoning for listed parcel IDs to R1/R5. Councilor Griffin moved to amend the ordinance by adding two additional parcel IDs (175-003174 and 175-003176), creating split R1/R5 zoning for those parcels. The amendment was seconded and passed.

After the amendment, Councilor Gregory moved to postpone final passage of the ordinance to the next council meeting for final action. The motion to postpone was adopted, so final passage will be taken up at the subsequent meeting. Councilors were shown maps of the parcels and confirmed the added parcels abut properties on the referenced map off North Quincy Street.

The council performed the amendment and delayed final adoption to allow additional review and final consideration at the next meeting.
