Board approves $3.94 million contract amendment for districtwide mechanical controls

The CUSD 200 Board of Education approved a $3,943,000 amendment Dec. 10 to the installation contract with Guaranty Energy Savings Performance Services Inc. The amendment covers controls work described as the final piece to standardize mechanical systems and controls across affected buildings as part of Middle School Capital Projects issuance 3.

Superintendent Dr. Schuler described the controls work as the last piece needed to "put us all underneath the same roof" for how the district's mechanical systems will be controlled. The board moved and seconded the resolution to approve the eighth amendment and recorded affirmative roll call votes.

Administration said the controls amendment supports the larger renovation schedule and will allow district operations to manage mechanical systems consistently across buildings once implemented.

The motion was moved by Mr. Long and seconded by Mr. Rutledge and carried on a roll call vote.
