Troy parks board appoints Tim Grieser as director of golf at Miami Shores

The Troy Board of Park Commissioners on Dec. 9 approved the appointment of Tim Grieser as director of golf for Miami Shores Golf Course.

Grieser introduced himself to the board before the appointment, saying, “I will be your new director of golf for Miami Shores Golf Course starting Monday.” He described a background in Clark County, degrees from Northwestern and Wright State University, roughly 15–16 years with the City of Springfield and work with the Southern Ohio PGA running tournaments.

The board chair moved for appointment during the meeting and the Chair announced the motion carried. Board members and staff offered congratulations; earlier in the meeting a departing employee was thanked for seven years of service.

Grieser did not outline operational changes at the meeting. The board recorded the administrative motion to appoint and will proceed with onboarding and related personnel paperwork in coming days.
