Hills Clinic to consolidate services at Madison Crossroads campus and add X‑ray; board approves lease

Heather Mason, representing Hills Clinic, updated the board on the clinic at Madison Crossroads that provides medical, dental and optometry care for students and children up to age 19 who meet income eligibility. Mason said the clinic currently operates from two older buildings and that a recently donated building will allow the clinic to bring all three services under one roof and add X‑ray capability so students will not need to travel to Huntsville for basic X‑rays.

Board members thanked the clinic for the long‑standing partnership and voted to approve the lease for the Madison Crossroads Elementary School location as submitted. Several members noted the significance of adding X‑ray services and praised the partnership between the district and the clinic. Mason asked the community to continue sharing information about the clinic; she also confirmed the clinic is accepting new patients.

The board recorded the lease approval by voice vote and added it to consent/administrative items during the meeting.
