Auburn School Committee honors longtime member Pam Hart and outgoing Quinn Gormley

The Auburn School Committee honored outgoing members Pam Hart, who has completed three terms representing Ward 2, and Quinn Gormley, who served one term for Ward 4, with remarks and presentation of commemorative gifts.

The chair thanked both members for their dedication and service to Auburn students, staff, and families. Pam Hart spoke to the committee about her experience representing Ward 2, describing it as a privilege and recalling work on subcommittees, the Edward Little High School building committee and a successful naming-donation for the Donald M. Gay Performing Arts Centre. “I've had the great privilege of representing my neighbors and constituents from Ward 2 for 6 years,” Hart said, noting the completion of a new state-of-the-art high school and other memorable moments.

Quinn Gormley was also recognized in absentia; the committee said she would receive the same crystal apple and flowers presented to Hart. The committee welcomed incoming Ward 2 member Missy Edgecomb and wished her well as she assumes the seat.

The acknowledgements were followed by routine reports and the rest of the evening's agenda.
