Departing director Sean McAndrews delivers farewell; board adjourns

Board director Sean McAndrews delivered prepared remarks marking his final meeting on the Scranton School Board. He thanked colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff, students and his family for five years of service and said he would continue to support the district from his incoming role on the city council.

McAndrews reflected on the nature of public service and the district’s progress in areas such as school safety, academic programs and staff support. Concluding his remarks, McAndrews asked for a motion to adjourn; the motion was moved and seconded and the chair declared the meeting adjourned.
