Orland Park recognizes Ballet 58 and CTF Illinois with December proclamations

The Orland Park Village Board opened its Dec. 1 meeting by issuing proclamations honoring two local nonprofits. The board recognized Ballet 58 (referred to in the meeting as Valley/Ballet fiveeight) for artistic innovation and community programs and named it the village’s business/organization of the month for December 2025. A Ballet 58 representative described upcoming performances and the company’s outreach work.

The board also honored Communities That Transform Futures (CTF Illinois) for more than five decades of services supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tony Barrett, who identified himself as president and CEO of the organization, said CTF serves more than 700 individuals across Illinois with 36 residential group homes and eight day programs and thanked the board for the award. Village officials said proclamations are intended to recognize nonprofit partners that contribute to local quality of life.

No board votes were required to issue the proclamations; the recognitions were presented during the meeting’s opening presentations and followed by brief remarks from the organizations’ representatives.
