Chamber director reports membership growth, Visit McCall magazine distribution and winter carnival plans

Sheila Francis, executive director of the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, presented the chamber’s monthly report to the council.

Francis said membership is growing with new businesses joining, and the latest edition of the Visit McCall magazine is in circulation — "about 75% of the magazines are out in the community already." She described collaboration with the city on destination management, a new area map in development that will highlight shopping, dining, walking trails and recreation, and a free community transit service.

Francis reviewed winter carnival programming, including a snow‑sculpting class and an upcoming second event in January, and invited council questions. She also announced a business‑after‑hours event on the 18th at the Evergreen Hotel that will collect canned goods for Heartland Hunger and enter donors into a prize drawing.
